Copying the control surface settings between the old and new devices

  1. Open the old version of NWare and load the old project.
  2. If not already open, open the new version of NWare and load the new project.
  3. Arrange the old version of NWare and the new version of NWare on the screen side-by-side.
  4. Emulate the old project.
  5. Emulate the new project.
  6. In the old project, open the first device that you replaced in the new project.
  7. Open the same device in the new project.
  8. Copy the settings from the old project device over to the new project device:
    1. With the old project active, press CTRL+A, and then CTRL+C to select all the settings on the device page and copy them to the clipboard.
    2. Switch to the new project, and then press CTRL+V.
    3. Repeat steps a and b for the other pages in the device.
    4. Step through the pages on the devices in both versions of NWare to check the settings match.
  9. Repeat steps 6 - 8 for the other replaced devices.
  10. Save the new project.
  11. Deploy the new project and check that it is functioning correctly.
