Sizing the screen design area to match the physical display area

The touch screen on the nTouch 60 measures 2.4" (60mm) diagonally and features a display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The screen design area on the NWare nTouch 60 device has the same pixel size, so when you add controls to this area, you will be able to see the proportion of the screen area used by each control. However, you will not be able to see how large the controls will appear on the screen of the physical device until it is connected to your project.

To help with this problem, you can use the image below, which shows the physical screen area of the nTouch 60.

Note: You can only print out the image from the PDF version of this manual. If you are viewing the online version, click this PDF icon to display the PDF version.

To size the screen design area to match the physical display area

  1. Print out this topic from the PDF (with the Page Scaling setting set to none).
  2. Cut out the rectangle along the dotted line and then place it on your monitor.
  3. Zoom the NWare display using the and buttons on the toolbar until the screen design area of the nTouch 60 device matches the size of the rectangle.

Controls you add to the screen design area will now appear the same size as they will on the physical nTouch 60.
