Routing audio via an nControl AudioScience card

If you want to route audio via AudioScience CobraNet cards installed in the nControl, you need to specify how audio channels will be organized for transmission and reception via the network.

You can use the Media Player device to play back audio files that are stored on the nControl. The data is sent over the CobraNet network via the AudioScience card to one or more receiver devices. The Media Recorder device records audio received via the AudioScience card onto the hard disk inside the nControl.

Note: The AudioScience AS5416 supports 16 input channels and 16 output channels, and up to four of these cards can be installed into an nControl. This creates a theoretical maximum channel count of 64 input channels and 64 output channels. However, the nControl supports a maximum of 64 output channels (for playback), but only 32 input channels (for recording).
