Setting the alignment grid origin

The grid origin is the position, defined by x and y co-ordinates, of the top left-hand corner of the grid, relative to the top left-hand corner of the design page.

If you specify 10 and 10 as the x and y co-ordinates, for example, the top left-hand corner of the grid will start 10 pixels to the right and 10 pixels down from the top left corner of the design page.

To set the alignment grid origin

  1. On the toolbar, click Set Origin .
  2. In the Origin X box, type the x co-ordinate of the center of the alignment grid.
  3. In the Origin Y box, type the y co-ordinate of the center of the alignment grid.
