Upgrading the nControl - important

Due to new features added as part of this release, updating the nControl to this version will require you to install firmware using a USB stick. This must be done in addition to the normal firmware update using NWare. For more information, contact MediaMatrix Technical Support.

Enhancements

nControl

6 and 10 Ethernet port versions now available

Two new variants of the nControl are now available, each fitted with 6 and 10 Ethernet ports respectively. These products are available in addition to the original version with 2 ports.

The additional ports allow control of devices located on independent networks, using, for example, RATC or SNMP.

Version 1.6.6a firmware provides support for the additional ports, and new configuration options are now available on the Network page of the web interface.

Note: CAB control is only possible via the two Ethernet ports on the motherboard, and not via the additional ports.

Known issues

NWare

266 - Foreign language characters are corrupted by NWare

When you type characters with diacritics, such as š and ý, into a string control, they are corrupted when the project is emulated or deployed.
