Zooming and panning the display

You can use the zoom tool to control the magnification of the design area, and the pan tool to move the design area. These tools are handy when you are working on a large design.

Tip: You can split the design across several pages to make the display easier to work with.

To zoom the display in and out

• On the toolbar, click the Zoom In button or the Zoom Out button .

  Tip: If your mouse is fitted with an IntelliMouse wheel, you can hold down CTRL and rotate the mouse wheel backwards and forwards to zoom in and out on the area where the mouse pointer is located.

  To return the display to 100% magnification, click the Zoom Normal button .

  To shrink all the devices to fit the design area, press CTRL+0 (zero).

  Note: The zero key on the numeric keypad cannot be used to select this function.

To pan the display

1. Hold down the space bar. The cursor will change to.
