Understanding the flyoffs for the NIO-AEC card

When you add a NioNode to your design containing a NIO-AEC card, a number of flyoffs are added to the Flyoffs tab. The blue labels in the diagram below are the flyoff names as they are shown in NWare. Some of the flyoffs relate to the physical connectors on the card, but others relate to the internal routing system used within the card and the NioNode in which it is installed. You will need to be familiar with the flyoffs in order to use the AEC card in your design.

in.Analog

Physical input connector on the AEC card.
A microphone is usually attached to this connector.

This connector can be used as an input to the AEC system by creating a connection using flyoffs.

in.from AEC

Audio (with the echo removed) passed from the AEC card. This is to be sent to the far end.

out.AEC Ref

The reference signal passed to the card from the far end (labeled A in the diagram in the Introduction).

out.to AEC

The signal from the near end (containing the echo) passed to the AEC card (labeled B in the diagram in the Introduction).

This signal can be sourced from the input connectors on the AEC card or another device by setting up a connecting using flyoffs.
