Buddy Link Mode

Disabled

Disables Buddy Link Mode. This is the default setting.

Buddy Link

Enables the Buddy Link system that allows CABs to be paired to provide audio input and output redundancy.

If you are using a CAB 4n, you can find more information in the section Link connections in the Cab4n Hardware Manual.

Buddy Link mode is normally enabled on the secondary (backup) CAB and disabled on the primary CAB. When the secondary CAB detects that the primary CAB has failed, it takes over.

External Sync

The CobraNet clock for this device will be automatically synchronized with the clock signal received from external device.

Note: CAB 4ns only support support 48KHz clock signals from the external source.

Buddy Link Force

Used on the secondary (backup) device. Simulates failure of the primary buddy link device so that the secondary device will automatically take over.

Conductor Priority

The conductor priority of this device. The default is 32.

If you leave this setting at the default value, a CobraNet Conductor will be selected automatically. The device with the highest value will become the Conductor, therefore selecting a higher value makes it more likely that this device will become the Conductor.
