Connecting up the unit

  1. On the side of the unit, insert an Ethernet cable into one of the Ethernet ports, then connect the other end of the cable to a local Ethernet switch.

    The nTouch 180 unit is configured to connect to a DHCP server to obtain an IP address and network settings. If it cannot find a DHCP server, an IP address starting with 169 will be used.

  2. If you are using serial connections, connect the serial cables to the serial ports.

  3. Connect the supplied power cable to the power connector socket.

  4. Connect the other end of the cable to a power source.
