This product uses a proprietary protocol on an RS-485 multi-drop network. It should not be connected to other networks. The devices on this RS-485 network should be connected in a single daisy chain string. Star network connections are not recommended. Each device has two RJ-45, loop through connectors, to facilitate proper network configuration.
Each D series device draws approximately 16mA. If you are using a NION, the RS-485 network will support a maximum of 32 devices. However, if you are using a Digitool MX16, MX32 or LIVE, a maximum of 15 devices may be used.
