Specifying the TCP/IP settings

  1. Connect a PC to the Ethernet network.
  2. Connect the VSC-101tn to the Ethernet network.

    The default IP address of the VSC-101tn is 192.168.0.178.

  3. Set the IP address of the PC so that the network part of the address matches that of the VSC-101tn (192.168.0), but the machine part is different.

    Note: You must not assign the same IP address to your PC and the VSC-101tn.

  4. Open a browser and type http://192.168.0.178 into the address bar to connect to the VSC-101tn.

  5. In the Password box, type 88888 and press Enter.

    The IPort Configuration Web Server page will be displayed. This allows you to set the IP address, password, and so on.

    Note: Do not change the serial configuration options from the default, otherwise you may not be able to access the VSC-101tn via a serial connection.

  6. Set the IP address of the unit so that it matches the IP address scheme used on the network.
  7. Restart the VSC-101tn.
  8. Set the IP address of the PC so that it matches the IP address scheme used on the network.
