Topic: Updated release notes and help file for NWare 1.4.0

Updated release notes for the NWare 1.4.0 release are available here:

These notes describe two new issues that we have found during our testing of the NWare 1.4.0 software. The issues relate to the Outline Drag option in NWare, and are described at the end of the Known Issues section.

The release notes are also available as part of an updated CHM help file for NWare:

To install the new CHM help:

1. Download the CHM file to the following folder on your PC (overwriting the CHM already there):

<drive>:\Program Files\MediaMatrix\NWare 1.4.0\plugins\nware\doc

2. Right-click the CHM file to bring up the shortcut menu.
3. Click Properties.
4. Click Unblock.
5. Click OK.

Just a heads-up, it looks like we are going to delay the release to the public site 1.4.0.  Joe Kurta has found a bug that causes NWare to crash unexpectedly by simply making a change to a Flyoff Name (http://peaveyoxford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=166).  Though it has not been a reported by any other members, it has been reproduced in Oxford, and is considered a fatal bug (any unsaved work that you could have done before the crash is gone).  Oxford feels they are close to discovering the cause, and hopes to have a new version ready by end of day (GMT) on Monday that they will post to the Forum.

Found another non-lethal bug.  When you right-click on the tab of the page (Page 1, Control, Schematic, etc.) so you can Hide, Export, Delete, etc., the top selection is blank.  It should read "Page Properties".

Make it intuitive, never leave them guessing.
