Topic: New release of NWare 1.4.0 components

You can download new releases of the NWare 1.4.0 components here:

http://peaveyoxford.com/NWare_1.4.0_Installer.msi

http://peaveyoxford.com/NWare_1.4.0_Ins … Kiosk).msi

New features
=========
No new NWare features have been added in this release, but the builds of NWare Kiosk and ConMan are new and need to be tested.

Enhancements
=========
- The NWare MSI installer file has reduced in size.

Resolved issues
==========
- Conman SNMP issue.
- NWare signal Probe issue.

Outstanding issues
============
- Under Windows Vista:

To uninstall Nware, you have to right click on the MSI file that you used to install NWare, and select the 'uninstall' option. If you try to uninstall NWare in the usual way via Control Panel, Vista will eventually tell you it can't proceed because you don't have Administrator rights - even if you're logged in as an admin.

Features we would like you to check
=======================
- The Kiosk installer.

Re: New release of NWare 1.4.0 components

Please note: The link to the Kiosk installer in the previous post does not work when you click it. You will need to copy the link and the remaining text on the line and paste it into the browser location box in order to start the download.

We hope to have the “30 day license"  version of ConMan on the Seminar Alumni site (http://downloads.peavey.com/mm/index.cf … st%5FBuild) in the morning.  Speaking of which, these new versions have been uploaded to that site as well (be SURE to destroy the previous version of the 1.4.0 installer that you may have already downloaded!!!!!!!).

Gentle members of our forum, if you have the time help us with testing this version of NWare, please do.  If all goes well with testing, we now look to put 1.4.0 on the public site on January 28th.

Thanks to all for your input so far,
Scott

Re: New release of NWare 1.4.0 components

Hi Scott,
When I tried ConMan 1.4.0.exe (from http://downloads.peavey.com/mm/index.cf … t%5FBuild) I got "A required .DLL file, TAO_PortableServer.dll, was not found" error. Did I miss something?
