Topic: Kiosk auto start shortcut for version 2.0.0 does not seem to work

I cant seem to figure this one out.

An auto start shortcut for nware2.0.0 into full screen kiosk mode.
Yes, I have done this a lot with 1.7.2 with much success.

I know this is probably not a good idea, but I was able to load the 1.7.2
kiosk ,set up a personality xml file shortcut etc...
It seemed to connect online, with the live nion ( v 2.0.0 ) project.
There were a couple of strange things that happened.
One was  a restricted page link ( account ) that caused the kiosk page to show a
locked white screen. ( oh no ! )

Anyway, It would be great to get the 2.0.0 auto login short cut working.
Please let me know if i am missing something here. The documentation is not helping me.

Hello neovich,

Because of the new security protections with Win10, it is difficult to edit the XML file.  First, you must copy the XML out of the folder, make the edits, and then copy it back into the folder (making sure you overwrite the existing file).  Time consuming and something I've never used, because there is a better, easier way.  It is found here in Knowledge Center.

Here is the string that I used just now.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMatrix\NWare 2.0.0 Release-\NWareLaunch.exe" /personality=nware_kiosk /user=Fergy /pass=ferg /open=Kiosk

Well a very small detail in the docs was the problem. I was simply following the instructions exactly.
It mentioned this info ,

C:\Program Files\MediaMatrix\NWare 1.6.3\NWare.exe .....................user bla bla ....
for

did not work. The one you mentioned which makes sense


C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMatrix\NWare 2.0.0 Release-\NWareLaunch.exe ..................................user bla bla ....


NwareLaunch.exe was the key, what got it working. It definately was not in the docs as read through it all.

I was able to get it to work on release 2.0.0.0 on windows 10 .

This was true before WIN 10, and is something we forgot to update.  As you discovered, it should now read NWareLaunch.exe.
