Topic: ntouch 180 & Kiosk error: "conman" Process and volume changes

Hey everyone,

I have multiple kiosk users, nTouch 60's and one nTouch 180 deployed. Yesterday, volume kicked up to an uncomfortable level and all kiosk users were unable to make volume changes. When I logged into the system through VPN, all of the GBM levels were down but music was still pumping. To me, it seems like the master touch panel freaked out and the nTouch 180 somehow took control of the system, pushing music through the Paging system. Does everyone agree and can anyone read this log?

Re: ntouch 180 & Kiosk error: "conman" Process and volume changes

This snip of the above is saying the project was deployed or restarted;

<<2/16/2016 17:25    16764    note    conman    new role is Casino 10-15-2014/nTouch 180 <snip>>>

When this happens, default values are going to be loaded...Could this be what happened?

If so, suggest that all controls be set to what would be correct default values (routers, levels, etc.), and then go to File, Settings, Save Default Settings.

This will save the correct values on the NIONs and the computer that is being used to save these values.  That said, remember that it is only that computer....

Let us know if this is the right solution,

Fergy

Make it intuitive, never leave them guessing.
