Re: NIO AES CARD DOCUMENTATION ANYONE ??

Exactly what kind of documentation are you looking for?

Aside from the dip switches, there really isn't anything to document about the card. It interfaces AES/EBU or S/PDIF (according to the settings of the dip switches) to the NION. A single channel on the card can be selected as either an input or an output.

There really isn't anything more to it than that.

Specifically, what additional information do you need?

Also, I consider it a common courtesy for everyone who expects to be a part of this community to go ahead and fill out your profile. A lot of people here know other people here, but for the people that do not know everyone here it helps them understand who they are communicating with. Of course it is NOT a requirement to fill it out, but it is a nice thing to do.

Josh,

Agreed.  Is there a way to make field required before activating an account (for new comers)?

Thanks,

AAPL:

If you are seeking the Dip Switch Settings document for the AES card, it is on the MediaMatrix website at the following address:

http://mm.peavey.com/nion/resources/AES … 0Guide.pdf

The specification sheet is available at this address:

http://mm.peavey.com/nion/resources/NIO-AES.pdf

All:

The main NION Resources page has been updated with a little reorg in the topics listed and a couple of additional documents added. Feel free to check it out here:

Joe:

We had discussed that at one point and time and it was decided that some people had some desire for anonymity and we would allow them that option. However, I, personally, feel that better communications are fostered when people are required to take full ownership of what they say. In my experience this has a tendency to keep people on a more even keel since what they post is tied to their name and everyone can see it.

Personal information is not required to register.  We do confirm that the person registering is a Contractor/Consultant who is working with the MediaMatrix product line.
