Topic: Android installer for Knowledge Center

Hello all,

An installer for the Knowledge Center is now available for Android phones and tablets:

Note: The file is about 21MB in size, so may take a couple of minutes to download and install on your device. Once installed, it may also take a few seconds to open on slower devices.

Note: You will need to select an option to allow non-market apps to be installed. On my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Apollo, I went to Settings - Applications, then checked the option "Unknown sources".

When the apk has downloaded to your PC, copy the file to the SD card on your device. If you would like to use wifi to connect to your phone and copy over the installer, you can use a utility like this one:

Open the installer and wait for it to finish installing the Knowledge Center. If you prefer, you can use an install utility like this one to locate the installer and run it:

You can run the Knowledge Center app without a wireless connection, but if you want to open a PDF, you will need wireless (as PDFs are downloaded from the website). If you would like me to build a version of the installer that includes the PDFs, please let me know.

The download now includes an updated version of the help viewer.

When you are viewing the topic panel, you can press and hold on the screen to switch to full screen reading mode with no toolbars.

Press and hold again to switch reading mode off. (You can also switch reading mode off by swiping left or right to view the table of contents or search panels.)

Hi,

There is a new apk installer:

The new build allows the Knowledge Center application to be moved to the SD card on your phone, so it no longer needs to take up space in the main phone storage.
