Topic: Momentry Buttons Issue on Windows 7 with Touch Screen Interface
I'm running a Kiosk on a Windows 7 touch PC (Dell Studio One 1909) and although sliders and most buttons work fine, buttons configured as momentary only work about 5% of the time. This is only when using the touch interface, when I plug in a mouse and use that, everything works as it should.
I've spoken with the touch overlay suppliers (NextWindow) to see if there is anything that could be tweaked. Their response is that Windows 7 reports touch interface touches and mouse clicks differently and the problem is most likely that NWare hasn't been written to listen for touch events from the OS.
The fact the buttons work occasionally would tend to suggest that there is some connection but it appears to me the Windows events are too fast for NWare. It's possible there's some reg settings or similar in Windows to tweak this but I can't find any details.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? Anyone have any suggestions for a fix?
Is hooking into Window's gesturing on the NWare roadmap?
Cheers.
