Compare default and current settings

Does anyone know of a way (if not, this is a feature request) to see and compare the default settings and the current settings globally?

For instance, if the saved default setting of /Insert Page Name Here/Insert Block Name Here/Insert Device Name Here (i.e. Router 2) is String Value of 3 (input three), but it is currently set to input two (string value of 2), I would like to be able to run some sort of comparison report which says "The default value of Device X is 3, the current value of Device X is 2".

The report could even be optionally run on a emulation or deployment. Thay way when I emulate and I could swear that I didn't change any control values, and it asks if I want to save default settings, I can cancel and make sure I didn't mess up.
