With the increase in memory card size is there the possibility to include this as an object within Nware such that the DSP files generated on deployment could be captured on a hot standby Nion and then on a Nion failure allow the selection of the single replacement DSP file to be instantly loaded/deployed on to the hot standby?
Probably not with a NION alone. However, we are investigating supporting this in conjunction with nControl.
I had a similar feature request to allow the choice of a role from the front panel of the NION. This wouldn't be an automated failover, but would be very helpful when troubleshooting and/or recovering. Perhaps one of the options could be 'none/standby' (for spare units awaiting roles).
